1. These terms
These terms apply to all painting work Coatly Painting carries out, together with your written quote. Where the quote and these terms differ, the quote wins.
2. Quotes
Quotes are free, written and fixed for 30 days. They list the surfaces, the paint system, the number of coats and the expected days on site. Anything not listed isn’t included.
3. Booking and payment
A 10% deposit books your start date. For jobs longer than two weeks we invoice in stages. The balance is due within 7 days of sign-off, by bank transfer or card.
4. Changes to the job
If you add work or change colours after we start, we’ll confirm the cost in writing before we do it.
5. Your part
Please put away small items, valuables and anything fragile before we arrive, and give us access to water and power. We move and cover the furniture ourselves.
6. Weather and delays
Exterior work needs dry weather. If rain or wind stops work, we move the dates at no cost to you and let you know the evening before.
7. Our warranty
We guarantee our workmanship for five years from sign-off. Flaking, peeling or blistering caused by our preparation or application is fixed free.
The warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage, cracking from building movement, moisture from building defects, or normal wear and tear.
8. Paint and materials
We use the paint system named in your quote. Leftover paint is labelled and left with you for touch-ups.
9. Insurance and licences
We hold public liability insurance and the trade licences required where we work. Certificates are available on request.
10. If something isn’t right
Tell us within 14 days of sign-off and we’ll come back to look. We aim to fix any defect within 10 working days.
